‘I’m actually crying’: Becky G says San Antonio is ‘like home’ before rodeo performance

Becky G seems to be just as excited to see her San Antonio fans as they are to see her.

The “MALA SANTA” singer will perform at the rodeo on Thursday night. A day before her set, she took to Twitter to share her love for the city she says feels “like home.”

“I love San Antonio so much I’m actually crying,” the California-based singer tweeted. “This place brings back so many memories of the earliest days as a signed artist and has always felt like home for some reason.”

This isn’t the singer’s first San Antonio rodeo — she performed on the revolving stage in 2016. She was also part of the 2018 Mala Luna music festival lineup.

Before her music festival performance, she told mySA that San Antonio is one of her favorite places to perform and visit.

“I always tell people I think I was from S.A. in my past life. Something about the land there, the food, the people,” she said.
